As the war in Afghanistan enters its final chapter, Sean Smith's brutal, uncompromising film from the Helmand frontline shows the horrific chaos of a stalemate that is taking its toll in blood

I sat at the conference table today, reading The Guardian’s Technology supplement, wondering if I’d ever be saying “bing it” instead of “google it”. It didn't even cross my mind that later on I would reading about the sections possible disappearance.
But perhaps we should have seen it coming as the advertising started to disappear like last season's iPhone.
Bets on its replacement?

Such Free Journalism, built on and within others, is very likely to disappear or turn costly. If you want some techie-stuff - and dont worry a whole great deal for the price - Wired launched a UK version again (after it's 90s-something failure) now. What is very interesting, is that it HAS to make some good content, because of the times and the very niché market. US Wired has been my personal long-time favorite for a large variety of tech news - from US supersatelitest and latest on high-spec military gear, to latest phone reviews.
There are others, especially in the UK, that I dont know about. But freebie-tech? My guess is you have to wait out the economic crisis then (excluding the websites of course - and since I do not like Twitter: Guardian's web has Tech news there aswell)
