First of all a big thanks to Tim and Anastasia for the fantastic meal last night. It really gave us all a chance to get to know each other a little better and a chance to enjoy some alcohol we didn't have to pay for!!!

Since we have been encouraged to post our achievments I thought I'd follow suit.

It wasn't a front page story and it wasn't a spectacularly edited video or audio piece. However it IS a byline and at the time it WAS breaking news.

I was even at the top of Google's local news list for about 5 minutes! :)

The financial crisis has undoubtedly been at the forefront of everyone's mind recently but it has finally reached fever pitch.

We've looked at it nationally; city workers waving tenners instead of fifties at the G20 protesters, and we've looked locally; spending hours dwelling on the fate of Gillingham and Chatham highstreets in this devastating time. But has anyone looked even closer to home?

Elderly women potter about the store with their granny-bags, a young boy drags a toy helicopter along the floor behind him and the workers bustle around filling the shelves. This was the scene at Twydall Woolworths as it faces its hardest time yet.

Guns 'n' Roses actually releasing their long-awaited album Chinese Democracy, perhaps?!

Rumour has it that the well-known Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. made a promise of a free Dr Pepper to everyone in America if the new album was released before the end of 2008. Unfortunately when they said everyone, they didn't mean everyone; ex-band members Slash and Bucket head have been excluded from this once in a lifetime offer, not that they will be losing any sleep over it I imagine!

The election of Senator Barack Obama as President is truly a mile-stone in the history of today's world.
When I switched on my laptop this morning and connected to the internet I was greeted by home page spreads declaring Barack Obama to have "made history". For me this is huge.
This intelligent, family man is truly an inspiration to us all and I foresee a good time ahead of the USA if everything falls into place before the 20th of January.
