Snowball fight at Liberty Quays

For those of you who don't know, I grew up abroad, I left England when I was three years old and moved to Dubai, and then later on, to Cyprus.  So, as you can imagine, seeing snow from my bedroom window is more than exciting for me.

On December 17th, when I was sitting in my kitchen with my flatmates eating Christmas dinner before we all left the next day we noticed a bit of snow.  Now, I was the only one who rushed outside with me hat, gloves and coat to play in it, despite the fact that it was not settling.

However, before I knew it there was snow falling from every direction, and loads of people came out to play in the snow!  There were even a few who left there houses to come to Liberty Quays and play with the rest of the students - you know who you are!

In about an hour, there was an enormous snowball fight outside of Liberty Quays, my first ever snowball fight!

At the accomodation, there are two low walls which you can hide behind, both face each other with the steps between them, this of course proved to be the perfect spot for a good old snow ball fight, one which I didn't do too well in.

I'm not sure how long we were out in the snow, but I learned one thing for sure: don't wear suede shoes in the snow, because you will get wet socks!

All I am hoping for is more snow in the future!  Bring on 2010!

Merry Christmas everyone!!
