Well done Alan, not least for identifying a clear news line in Mark's speech and using it to win space in the newspaper. This is a bylined page-lead to include in your portfolio. Everyone should note that such cuttings are tremendously valuable when you graduate and start competing for that first job. Of course, bylined copy is only useful if you have also passed your NCTJ shorthand exams.
