Peter Worthington has had an amazing life. And his obituary, which he wrote himself, certainly has an arresting opening line.
This summer, in order to improve the performance and reliability of the CFJ's computers it will be necessary to delete and clean up the media drives. If there is work that you need to keep then you must back it up as soon as possible. Once the disk drives are defragmented it will not be possible to recover any old data or work. It is not possible for the CFJ to back up work for you - there is simply too great a volume of data.
This process will begin on the 1st July. You MUST backup any work you wish to keep before this date.

Would it be possible to use one of the centre's portable drives? The only external harddrive I've got is for Mac and all my stuff, plus important Medwire material which they guys and girls will need next year, is on one of the PC's.
Sure Sara - I'm in today (mon 11th) weds and thurs this week. G
