Convergent

This is for second year students doing convergent journalism.

Unfortunately I am cancelling today's radio class as I am not well. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Third years please note that your timetabled session at 3pm this afternoon will be used to explain the assessed news days that you'll be undertaking for this module. Meet in Newsroom 1.

Year One please note that your convergent journalism session on Thursday morning is postponed because of the Year 3 TV bulletin assessment. Normal service resumes next week.

We are going to start work on live reporting next week so I request that all students come to both classes next week, on Monday 29 December and Wednesday 1 November.

I hope to have two different people from the BBC, both hugely experienced in live reporting, working with you both in the newsroom and in the studio during these classes. 

I will give you individual feedback on the TV news items you are shooting this week. Please as before, upload your item to the site by 2.30pm on Saturday.

Shoppers fall on hard times...

Just a reminder to year 2 that I'm in London with the NCTJ today so there's no convergent journalism session. You should be working on your magazine pitches for your assignment. Full details of the briefing are here. Those who haven't finished their Sunday Times Michael Caine feature layout should do so.

We will have two classes on TV, one on 12 October and the other on 19 October, both at 3pm.
