Matt Charles has very kindly managed to secure a room at no cost at the Lordswood Leisure Centre for Thursday 15 December.  They will not be able to supply food but there will be a cash bar.  If you are interested in going ahead with a party at this location on that date please confirm to Matt (not to me!) asap.  His email is mc564@kent.ac.uk.  Please note that you will need to organise transport there and back yourselves.

There are 20 places available for guests at the  Christmas party on Friday.  Please let me know if you want to bring a guest - the charge is still £10.

Another blog about money I'm afraid.  I need to know numbers for the party on 10 December by the end of tomorrow and some money would be good too. Thank you.

Some of you were asking about the possibility of bringing guests to the Christmas Party on 10 December.  The Gulbenkian Cafe will not permit more than 100 people for health and safety reasons.  I will therefore need to know by Monday 29 November if you intend to come so that we can see how many places are left for guests (who will also need to pay £10 I'm afraid).

The Centre for Journalism's Christmas Party will be held on Friday, 10 December in the Gulbenkian Cafe, starting at 18.30.  All students and staff are cordially invited for some party food and drink.  There is a charge of £10 per person.  I shall need to know who is coming by Monday 29 November and I will also need payment by that date.

The Freshers' Dinner will take place on Wednesday, 22 September at Commissioner's House in the Historic Dockyard.  Pre-dinner drinks will start at 18.30 followed by dinner at 19.30.  All students are welcome to the drinks reception but only new students (UG and PG) and Centre scholars are invited to the dinner.

The Historic Dockyard is located opposite the Campus (Dock Road entrance).  Attached is a map but please ask a member of staff if you are in doubt.

Some people seem to be unsure as to the time of the lecture tonight.  It starts at 18.00 in the Pilkington Lecture Theatre (as per the invitation).

The party starts at 19.00 in the Sunne Room, first floor of Commissioner's House in the Historic Dockyard.
